Launching today: “How I Found Myself in the Midwest”
Today's the day! Announcing several new tour stops, and how you might help
Dear Friends & Family,
Today’s the day: “How I Found Myself in the Midwest: A Memoir of Reinvention” is out in the world. I’m excited to share it with you, and grateful for your support.
A lot has happened since I finished writing the book earlier this year. The tensions and tragedies that both Minnesota and country are grappling with can make hope harder to find. Yet despite (and perhaps because of) the challenges we face, I believe the message this book carries - about the power of building community - is even more relevant now than ever.
As New York Times bestselling author William Kent Krueger kindly shared,
“If you’ve lost hope in your state, in your nation, in your people, if you’ve become cynical about the future, this is a book that will restore your faith in the power of community.”
How you might help
The truth is, it’s hard to break through the frenetic news cycle and land a book. And so, if the message of this book resonates with you, there there 3 ways that I could use your help:
Make a social media post about the book, the more personal the better. You can link here for people find out more, and feel free to tag me on LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, Bluesky, or Threads, so that I can amplify your post.
Amazon reviews matter a lot. Please consider giving my book a review; even just leaving a star rating makes a difference.
Word of Mouth is still the most powerful force in publishing. If you like the book, please tell your friends, family, or anyone else you think might find value in the story.
Where to buy
If you haven't purchased the book, I’d be thrilled if you did. Here are some options:
